PCHF’s Statement in Support of Black Lives Matter

The Phoenixville Community Health Foundation stands in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and its calls for racial justice, liberation, inclusion, healing, peace, and equity.

The current Coronavirus pandemic has only highlighted existing disparities in access to quality health care for the Black, LatinX, immigrant, and other communities of color. Our vision is to make the greater Phoenixville region one of the healthiest places to live and work in Pennsylvania. We cannot achieve that vision while those disparities persist.

In response, we are launching an effort to work directly with traditionally underserved communities to identify and understand how those barriers are experienced in the Phoenixville area, and how we can collaboratively create solutions to reduce and ultimately eliminate those barriers. More information will be announced on our website and via Facebook in the coming weeks.
