PHOENIXVILLE COMMUNITY HEALTH FOUNDATION WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBERS TO THEIR COMMUNITY

The diverse new slate of members brings a wide variety of experiences.

We are excited to introduce 4 new board members who have backgrounds in manufacturing, IT, banking, pharmaceuticals, and ministry. Each Member will contribute their expertise, as well as their passion for the Greater Phoenixville community, to the governance of the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation (PCHF). We are proud to continue to add diverse voices to our table.  Board members began their term on July 1, 2022.

Welcome:

Tashir Kassam

Tash has over 30 years of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) and B2B (business to business) supply chain, manufacturing, and IT experience. Having personally worked in and managed associates in various countries (China, Japan, Switzerland, UK, Mexico, USA, Canada, Ukraine) and suppliers globally, Tash brings unique multi-cultural, multi-language, and diversity experience to the team.  Tash is Fluent in English, Spanish, Gujarati, and Kaatchi and has reasonable exposure to Kiswahili, Hindi, Punjabi, and French. Tash has worked in family-owned businesses (Mars, Inc. maker of Snickers, Twix, M&Ms, Pedigree, Whiskas, Uncle Ben’s brands) as well as private equity (Bain Capital) and publicly traded companies (Crane Co.). During his work in supply chain improvements, Tash spearheaded continuous improvement projects through Kaizen and is a great believer in incremental but sustainable improvements. Currently, Tash enjoys his real estate business that is focused on saving historic buildings and repurposing them to breathe new life and new use into them. He has served on historic societies and commissions in various townships. Tash and his wife Rocio have three daughters and three, soon to be four, grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and immersing themselves in local cultures. Tash holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and economics from Rice University and an executive MBA from Baylor University. But more importantly, Tash believes in learning by doing and values life and business experiences.

 Allen Kramer

Allen’s background and expertise are in community banking.  He is the Senior Vice President/Chief Lending Officer for the Consumer/Mortgage Division of Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust where he has been employed by the bank for the last 33 years.

Allen lives in Phoenixville with his wife and two adult daughters.  He enjoys running, traveling, and loves going to the beach.

Allen currently serves on two boards in the community:  the Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce, and the Phoenixville Area Senior Center.  He is a graduate of Central Penn College with a degree in accounting.

 

Alana Persad

Alana is a corporate professional with years of experience in environmental compliance and process safety. She has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Moravian University. Currently, she works in the pharmaceutical industry in process safety within the vaccine manufacturing division. Alana loves having a career that has a positive impact on the world and contributes to the health and wellbeing of communities.

She is elated to be involved in the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation to further her passion and contribute to helping the local community she loves. In Alana’s free time, she enjoys hiking, live music, and spending time with her family and friends.

 

Rev. Lee Paczulla 

Rev. Lee is an ordained Unitarian Universalist clergywoman, currently serving as Executive Minister at WellSprings Congregation in Chester Springs. Prior to serving in ministry, Rev. Lee worked for over a decade in the nonprofit sector, primarily in higher education, health advocacy, and grassroots community organizations. Rev. Lee is a native of the Philadelphia area and holds a BA in Psychology from Swarthmore College, and a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School. She currently lives in Phoenixville, where she serves on the Borough’s Human Relations Commission. Rev Lee loves to sit outside coffee shops along Bridge Street, and enjoys going for morning walks along French Creek and the Schuylkill Canal Trail.
