May is Mental Health Awareness Month

We focus this time to raise awareness for members in our community that struggle with mental illness or substance use disorder, and to help reduce the stigma associated with them.

As PCHF continues to engage the community to share our new Strategic Plan, 2022-2024, we have heard over and over again that one of the top area of need for residents in the greater Phoenixville region is access to mental health services.

PCHF’s goal in this area is to promote and strengthen access to timely mental health and substance abuse services, especially crisis intervention. We are on a fact finding mission to continue to learn what resources and gaps may exists. PCHF staff is actively speaking to many organizations. We are hoping to gather the Mental health serving community in July 2022 to continue to strengthen information, and resource sharing.
