Champions of the Community-20th Anniversary

The Phoenixville region is known for its volunteerism and commitment to the community. Many people right in the heart of our community do this everyday. The last several years of Covid-19 have only seen more community members step up to help their neighbors. The Foundation is searching for people who set the example and who encourage others. Anyone, adult or youth, of the greater Phoenixville area can be nominated or can self-nominate.

A PCHF Board Advisory Committee will review individual nominations for this award and select the awardees.  Award winners will be notified and recognized during a breakfast on:

Date: Wednesday, November 9, 2022

Time: 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Location: RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve, 100 Rivercrest Drive, Phoenixville

Up to four (4) people will be selected for the “Champions of the Community” award.  Each Champion Awardee will be invited to direct a Phoenixville Community Health Foundation grant of $2,000, in their name, to a charitable organization of their choice that serves the greater Phoenixville region.

Deadline to submit your nomination is 9/30/2022.

Criteria for Nomination (nominees has to fit two of these):

  • Nominees should live within PCHF’s geographic area of interest: https://www.pchf1.org/available-grants/grant-distribution-and-priorities/
  • Has made a personal sacrifice to improve the lives of their neighbors or the community at large
  • Has overcome obstacles to improve their own lives (financial, academic, physical, social, substance abuse, mental health, COVID-19, etc.)
  • Has utilized an innovative approach to solve a community problem or challenge
  • Has a lengthy commitment of community/volunteer serve
