BeHeard BeHealthy Phoenixville (PHAN)
PCHF will commit to a 2-year journey to listen to community voices.
Our Board and staff continue on our journey to hear all voices in our community. We are excited to announce that PCHF will partner with Pennsylvania Health Access Network (PHAN) on their statewide BeHeard BeHealty campaign.
What is BeHeard BeHealthy PA?
When decisions are made that affect our communities health, the voices of people throughout our state-particularly those from marginalized communities-are too often not heard. BeHeard BeHealthy, PA is creating a new way for communities across Pennsylvania to make their voices heard.
PCHF mission is to make the greater Phoenixville region one of the healthiest places to live and work in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We continue our commitment to listening to the voices of the Greater Phoenixville area through a partnership with 10-12 local community partner organizations that represent all the different communities that need to be heard.
The commitment from Community Partner organizations for the BeHeard BeHealthy campaign will be:
- Facilitate one Community Conversations (focus group, that will run an hour and a half, training and support will be provided) with a minimum of 10 clients and have them enroll in the survey panel. Survey panels will be a link to sign up for the short surveys they will receive every quarter via text or link.
- Engage with these same clients that have been enrolled in the survey panel to take 8 short surveys over two years. This survey will be sent to community participants via text or via link. The surveys will be short and easy to take. The surveys will be in English/Spanish.
- Provide technical support if needed for clients to complete surveys via text or computer throughout the years. We are looking for help to support community participants access technology to complete the surveys.
Benefits to agencies that participate:
- $600 stipends will be given for participation in this campaign. PCHF will be offering $500 stipends to a select number of organizations for their support of this project to recognize the extra time this will take. An additional $100 will be provided to purchase incentives for clients participating in the survey panels. Participating organizations will have the freedom to purchase an incentive that speaks to the individuals they serve.
- Data will be shared with all participating organizations in regards to gaps and barriers happening in Greater Phoenixville.

PCHF will incorporate what we learn from the survey data into our next strategic plan, targeted to be released in early 2022.
Viviann Schorle, Program Officer will be reaching out to the organization via phone, and email to gather our list of participating community partner organizations.
