2021 Greater Phoenixville Healthcare Scholarship Recipients

We want to thank all the student that applied for this Scholarship. The class of 2021 has wonderful future leaders. We also want to thank the Medical Staff at Phoenixville Hospital for sponsoring 4 scholarships this year.

We want to present the 5 student recipients of our 2021 Greater Phoenixville Healthcare Scholarship.

Courtney Gable

Courtney Gable is graduating Senior from Phoenixville Area School District and will be heading to East Stroudsburg University to major in Nursing. She is an athlete playing Varsity Volleyball and Softball as well as volunteering with Kimberton Fire Company. “My family has always made helping the community a big part of our life”. “I am excited to take on nursing school head-on in the fall.”

Hannah Tarquini

Hannah Tarquini is a graduating Senior from Phoenixville Area School District and will be heading to Thomas Jefferson University to major in their 5-year Physician Assistant Program. She has participated in community service throughout her high school career. Best Buddies, Chester County Futures, Habitat for Humanity, and Barnstone Art for Kids have benefited from Hannah’s time and energy. “One of my primary reasons for seeking a career in healthcare, more especially a career as a physician assistant, is to be the change I want to see with regard to ethnicity, gender, and disability within the medical field.”

Hailey Giordani

 Hailey Giordani is graduating Senior from Perkiomen Valley School District and will be heading to Bloomsburg University to major in Nursing. She has done community service through her membership in the National Charity League that includes volunteering at Mitzah Circle, Manna on Main, and Daily Bread Food Pantry. “My desire to become a nurse started at a very young age as I looked up to my Aunt, yet since then I have developed a passion for people and wanting to help others”.

Xandro Xu

Xandro Xu is a graduating Senior from Phoenixville Area School District and will be heading to the University of Pennsylvania to major in Neuroscience. He founded, “The Creation for Prevention Association”. It is a non-profit organization seeking to educate and raise awareness of current issues through various artistic forms (music, painting, etc). “I want to continue advocating for the lives of so many that were lost due to incurable diseases (and to keep researching potential solutions), as well as expanding access to even the most basic necessities needed for a healthy life.”

Sarah Kopec

Sarah Kopec is a graduating Senior from Owen J Roberts School District and will be heading to Messiah University to major in Biology, Microbiology, and Neuroscience. She is an athlete, that does community service and works 3 different jobs in her community. “I know cures exist if we only search in the right places and ask the right questions. Perhaps someday I will discover a light amidst the darkness with my research”.
