Juneteenth has been commemorated in Phoenixville in the past and returned to our community in 2021
with a week-long series of virtual events that were educational, entertaining, & inspirational!
This year on Sunday, June 18
th between 2 and 6 pm, Diversity In Action along with Black Light Projects,
Orion Communities, Colonial Theatre, Forever Changes, and Phoenixville Community Health Foundation
have collaborated to offer a special collection of activities to engage the community and shed light on
the importance of African American history in the United States and our community. For the second
year, the events will take place live in the 200 Block of Bridge Street in Phoenixville.
Thank you Owen J. Roberts Middle School Youth and Philanthropy group for the lovely luncheon last week. We are grateful that you chose The Crime Victims' Center of Chester County, Inc., Animal House Project, Main Line Animal Rescue (MLAR), and Canine Partners for Life. They even asked for a special appearance by Mayor Peter Urscheler.
Let's us remember all those that have served and are serving to keep our freedom.
