WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN THE SEMINAR?
A fundamental part of the training seminar is the development of a team approach to problem solving. Consequently, each organization that is accepted must send a team of three-to five individuals including:
- at least one (preferably 2) member of the board of directors
- the executive director or the equivalent
- the development director, financial officer or program director or another employee or volunteer with decision-making responsibility
HOW DOES AN ORGANIZATION QUALIFY?
In order to qualify for this seminar, a non-profit organization privately run or non-government operated, operate within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and must be either located in the Foundation’s 19 township/borough service area or, if located outside these boundaries, be presently providing services to people living in this service area. You are required to provide a completed seminar profile as soon as possible, along with:
- proof of IRS tax-exemption 501(c)(3) status
- copy of a clean audit letter, if available
- board of directors' list
- names of attending team members
WHAT IS THE REAL COST?
This outstanding seminar is being offered at a minimal cost to qualifying organizations. A fee of $300 per organization, payable to Phoenixville Community Health Foundation, is required in order to reserve a space at the seminar. This cost can be reduced, however, through board participation. The Foundation will give a $50 rebate for every Board member participating in both days of the seminar. Should an agency team not comply with the posted "cancellation by" date this sum is kept to defray a small portion of the advances on the conference costs.
