PHOENIXVILLE COMMUNITY HEALTH FOUNDATION

FOUNDATION OVERVIEW

Phoenixville Community Health Foundation’s mission is to improve the health and quality of life in the communities it serves. The impact of the Foundation’s grant making will be judged not only by the financial resources given to the community organizations, but also by the innovative and collaborative relationships the Foundation has with its grant recipients and the community at-large.

Each proposal received is evaluated on its potential benefit to the Phoenixville area community and on the imagination, resourcefulness, and creditability of those submitting it.

Requests for funds generally far exceed the funds available. For this reason, the Foundation has established criteria to assist the Directors and staff in deciding where the funds may be most effectively employed for the betterment of the community.

The Foundation may entertain requests from organizations for both single and multi-year initiatives. However, support in any one year does not commit the Foundation to grants in subsequent years. While some funding may be renewed periodically, the Directors prefer to make grants on a single year basis.

There are three categories that represent our funding requests:
  • Programs and initiatives relating to direct access of health care services
  • Programs related to the general health of the greater Phoenixville community
  • Phoenixville area community-based program and services relating to the overall civic, social and economic health of the community
